We would like to inform about open calls to FIWARE Accelerator Programme, which gives Polish SMEs, start-ups, students and scientists an opportunity to receive non-returnable EU grants for launching innovative apps.
The FIWARE Acceleration Programme is co-financed by European Commission and aims to create an ecosystem that supports Internet innovation in EU countries. Under the programme the FIWARE technologies were created, a set of ready-made, open-source functional components (APIs) for internet applications.
80 MILLION EURO IN FI-PPP OPEN CALLS
FIWARE technical infrastructure is available for SMEs, as well as individual innovators. These entities may obtain financing by taking part in open calls runned by the 16 accelerators that support businesses and innovators financially and provide them with know-how (mentoring, counseling). The total budget of FIWARE Accelerator Programme is 80 million euro. It is assumed that approx. 1,300 small projects across the EU will be supported.
Due to ongoing open calls runned by FIWARE accelerators, National Contact Point (NCP) in collaboration with the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center and EuropeanPioneers accelerator represented by Weblify Sp. z o. o. organize FIWARE Information Day and Workshop for people interested in using FIWARE platform and receiving funding from FIWARE Accelerator Programme. The event wiil take place in Warsaw on June 9th.
WORKSHOP TOPICS
The workshop will include talks from accelerator projects such as EuropeanPioneers, Impact and INCENSe and from SMEs that already get funding from the programme. It will also provide an overview of the FIWARE platform and FIWARE Lab services available to SMEs, web entrepreneurs and Future Internet Accelerator projects.
The FIWARE accelerators will not only be present at the event and provide an overview of the selection process, but will also be open to proposals and available for those who want to talk to them personally.
The presentations will be given in English. We invite SMEs, start-ups, students and scientists interested in creating Internet innovation to join us in Warsaw on June 9th!
